Guides & tips
View all →A food label has to be clear, readable and right. We print the fixed part (brand, name of the food, ingredients with allergens in bold, storage, address) and leave a blank area for what changes with every batch: lot number, use-by or best-before date, weight and price.
You print that area on site with a thermal printer. For direct thermal printers we print your label on thermal paper; for thermal transfer, on standard paper.
For chilled trays we recommend an adhesive made for cold or damp surfaces. For what has to be on the label, see our guide to food labelling.
