Guides & tips
View all →A chemical label has to show the right pictograms, stay readable and not peel off when the product touches it. We print your GHS hazard labels from your text: red-diamond pictograms, signal word, H and P statements and supplier details.
For durability we print on polypropylene or polyethylene, with a varnish or laminate that stands up to solvents, oils and damp. We size the label to your drums and bottles, following the minimum sizes set by CLP.
Printing batch numbers and dates on site? We leave a clear area for a thermal transfer printer. The regulatory content remains your responsibility: send us your safety data sheet or artwork and we'll take care of the printing.
What each symbol means is explained in the 9 GHS hazard pictograms.
FAQ
What size does a CLP hazard label need to be?
It depends on capacity: for example at least 74 x 105 mm for a 3 to 50 litre container. We size it to your pack.
Are the labels solvent-resistant?
On polypropylene or polyethylene with a protected print they resist most solvents, oils and damp. Test them with your product.
Do you write the regulatory content?
No. Classification and H and P statements are the product supplier's responsibility. We print from your text or artwork.
